ATC Bits Today, 09 Jun 2024, at JFK, there were balloons at 300 ft near one runway. Later, balloons were spotted around 1,000 ft. Yesterday, 08 Jun 2024, in Atlanta, several pilots were not ready when called. Most needed to complete checklists. One had someone in the bathroom. On Wednesday, 05 Jun 2024, a plane needed to pause at Denver for rabbit activity. The pilot responded with "we'll watch for those wascally wabbits." The controller chuckled. The crash investigation of note is one led by Ed Malinowski of an incident at Chicago Midway.
